Vita Zambetti
Vita began crafting her own artistic style in Siberia, Russia, while studying in Novosibirsk Music College performing as a pianist, singer, and actor in The Novosibirsk National Youth Theater. She holds a Masters of Music and Advance Studies degrees in Piano Performance from USC Thornton School of Music, Los Angeles, California. Under a Full Silvia Kugel Scholarship Grant, Vita also studied composition, conducting, orchestration, and instrumentation with prominent American composers. Vita was a long-time pianist and a faculty member of the American Academy For Dance And Kindred Arts, Los Angeles, California, collaborating with world-class dancers (Yana Makarova, Margaret Graham Hills, Frank Bourman) on numerous creative projects. Vita’s live performances and recordings include concerts and guest appearances at Symphony Space, Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, Zankel Hall, and Stern Auditorium, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Rose Theater at Jazz at Lincoln Center, Capitol Records, and Hit Factory Recording Studios . She performed dual principal roles of Olympia & Nathaniel in the Target Margin Theater two-seasons production of Sandman , and the title role in the World Premiere of Andrey Petrov’s Captain’s Daughter at the Hermitage Theater, St Petersburg, Russia, as part of the Eugene O’Neill Theater Development Center’s production.
Vita created and voiced An Opera Memento, a radio show on Sirius XM’s Classical Voices channel. Her original scores, arrangements, and performances are featured in numerous commercials, documentaries, and motion pictures such as The Black Sorority Project: The Exodus , and the Oscar-nominated Margin Call. As part of Sirius XM’s theme logo project, Vita orchestrated string quartet arrangements of SXM’s melodic signature in a style of twenty-five classical composers including Handel, Bach, Ives, Stravinsky, Schoenberg, and Boulez. Vita music-directed the Page-to-Stage Festival’s performance of the original musical Magic, Misfits & Mirrors at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. Vita was the music director, arranger, orchestrator and co-composer of the original musical, Stare Into the Mirror, staged at the Five Angels Theater in NYC.
Other professional experiences include: Current: Dwight School, New York, Performing Arts Faculty; Former: College of Mount Saint Vincent, Bronx, New York- Music and Choir Director, Professor Adjunct for Undergraduate Choral Performance Course, Graduate Music History Course; Chairperson and a Board Member of the Bronx Arts Ensemble; Horace Mann , Bronx, NY High School and Middle School - piano performance teacher and collaborative artist (Glee Club); over ten years of Music Therapy experience through one-on-one instruction.
Vita is passionate about sharing her lifelong love of music through creative and collaborative projects with kindred spirits and strongly believes that Music can save the World and that the chance to learn how to play a musical instrument and express oneself creatively on that instrument belongs to every child.
Teddy Zambetti
As the In-House Composer at Sirius XM, Teddy has created music and sound design for almost every imaginable medium across every genre. From national television and radio commercials to song parodies, show themes, and film scores, Teddy’s work is heard daily by millions of people around the globe. When you tune into Howard Stern, Conan O’Brien’s Team Coco, Grand Master Flash or even Cardinal Dolan’s radio show, you’re hearing Teddy at work. The first piece of music ever to be broadcasted on satellite radio was penned by Teddy and recorded by the National Symphony with Leonard Slatkin.
Teddy was the member of the house band and music director for the legendary Groundling Theater in Los Angeles, where he worked with some of the most brilliant comedic talents of our time, including Will Ferrell, Lisa Kudrow, Will Forte, Melissa McCarthy, Jimmy Fallon, Kathy Griffin, Maya Rudolph and many more. The diverse, creatively intense, and improvisational nature of the shows led Teddy to hone his skills. During his tenure at the Groundlings, he also workshopped and developed the original musical, Stare Into the Mirror as well as an original comedic play called The Man Who Would Be Queen. Teddy is an ASCAP writer and a member of the Dramatists Guild.
Teddy has extensively worked as a touring/recording musician, performing with such icons as Lionel Hampton (Playboy Jazz Festival) and alt-country pioneers The Flying Burrito Brothers.
Teddy, together with his wife Vita, composed and arranged music for SeaGlass at the Battery , an immersive underwater-themed carousel created by renowned stage designer George Tsypin (Spiderman on Broadway, Sochi Olympics Opening Ceremony).
